COMPANY AND DEVELOPMENT

A site with tradition, materials in development.

Company

17th c. The company’s beginnings date back to the 17th century, when a water-powered smithy developed on this site.
1825 A larger craft workshop was established, redeployed to copper processing, and gradually developed into an industry.
1961 The company finally switched to processing aluminium and aluminium alloys.
1990 Legal entity entered in the business register (23 July 1990).
1995 The Žičarna plant, the precursor of Alumat d.o.o., operated within Impol until 1 January 1995. Since then the company has been independent and privately owned.
Today The company employs 43 people and generates about EUR 6 million in annual revenue, about 80% on foreign markets.
